LINK is a multi-functional, cross-platform and highly compatible keyboard assistant built for custom keyboards. Making keyboards easier to use and personalize is what LINK is designed for.

The story so far

LINK was born in July 2020. Since then we have been building its features step by step, working with manufacturers and communities to help more enthusiasts discover and use LINK.

After years of iteration, LINK has reached version 4.0.

LINK 4.0 is built on the WebHID API, so it runs right in your browser on Windows, macOS and Linux, with no installation required.

What about LINK+?

You can think of LINK+ as LINK 3.0. To keep up with changes to the QMK Firmware core and with growing user demands, we rebuilt LINK from the ground up.

We put a lot of effort into LINK+, but maintaining two versions at the same time was not sustainable. The offline LINK+ is therefore no longer maintained — we recommend the web version of LINK.
